According to statistics published by sector regulator the PTA, Pakistan’s 3G subscriber base crossed ten million mark in February 2015. 3G subscriptions reached at 10.33 million as an 28 February 2015 which is 14.5% more compared to the previous month. Moreover, the country’s 4G consumer base rose by 38.9% to 68,184.
Norwegian-backed Telenor is at top in market and has 3.15 million 3G users. Mobilink is now on second top position and has overtaken Ufone which has 2.60 million 3G subscriptions and previously was 2.47 million.
Though Warid entered late in Pakistan’s Telecommunication market but has its leading role of 4G space and has 60,923 Long Term Evolution (LTE) customers while China Mobile’s local Unit Zong is on second position in providing 4G space services and has 7,261 subscribers.
